Stress Therapy and Reduction

My techniques for handling and reducing stress are the following:

Exercise 5 days a week - I work out with weights 3 times a week and walk 3-4 miles 2 times a week.

Jigsaw Puzzles - Putting together jigsaw puzzles takes my mind off everything. I get to relax while doing something that I truly enjoy.

Conscious Eating

In order to achieve my goal, I have made some changes to my eating habits. For a few months now, I have been having a protein smoothie for breakfast 5 days a week. The smoothie contains 10 oz water, one scoop of protein powder, 3 frozen strawberries and one low carb, low sugar yogurt. I find that having protein reduces my hunger. This change has been working out quite well.

I have also adjusted my lunch portions by using smaller containers to store my food.

Another conscious eating change is trying not to eat after 8pm. This is easy on the days that I work 9-5, but when I work 1-9 it's very difficult not to munch on something when I get home.

One very important change that I have made is cooking my lunches instead of buying already made foods. I'm actually enjoying my food more.

OCL Wellness - My Goal

In the last couple of years, I have slowly gained some very unwanted lbs. My goal for the next 10 months is to lose at least 15 lbs.
